Diamonds Forever?

Net-a-Porter now sells Beauty Products! Don't be too excited yet because some of their items are just ridiculous! Feast your eyes on this $590 face cream!

{Natura Bisse - Diamond Life Infusion $590}

I understand that beauty and youth comes at a cost, a very HIGH cost. Genetics can only take you so far and apparently for $590 it can help you get there. This cream is described as a "Facelift in a bottle" that uses cell-renewing life infusion serum. Let's look at the ingredients:

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Niacinamide, PEG-8, Pentaerythrityl Tetracaprylate/Tetracaprate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Methyl Gluceth-10, Cyclopentasiloxane, Ethoxydiglycol, Sodium Acrylates Copolymer, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Propanediol, Lauroyl Lysine, Pentylene Glycol, Maslinic Acid, Allantoin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glyceryl Linoleate, Arginine, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Phospholipids, Algae Extract, Geranylgeranylisopropanol, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Decyl Glucoside, Levan, Glyceryl Linolenate, Artemia Extract, Sodium Carboxymethyl Beta-Glucan, Zizyphus Jujuba Fruit Extract, Pentapeptide-31, Acetyl sh-Pentapeptide-35, Iron Oxides (CI 77499), Diamond Powder, Alcohol Denat., Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Lecithin, Butylene Glycol, Acrylates/C10- 30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Silica, Phenoxyethanol, Methylisothiazolinone, Phenethyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Fragrance (Parfum), Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Linalool, Coumarin, Amyl Cinnamal, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Mica

On the list is:
  1. Water - Makes sense to keep the skin hydrated.
  2. Glycerin - Every cream has this to provide a smooth touch to the skin
  3. Niacinamide - Water-soluble vitamin (vitamin B group), anti-inflammatory properties and can be tonic in high doses.

What I found MOST interesting is the Diamond Powder! Would that even be beneficial to your skin? I have spent my fair share on expensive creams but I may or may not try this one. Going on rant about the diamond powder I can't understand why that would be needed in a face cream. Reflecting light, providing an extra sparkle to the skin but I'm sure most woman would apply foundation, loose powder or some type of make up OVER their face creams in the morning. Maybe the diamonds shine through other make up or enhances it, who knows! Most importantly is this product cell-renewing???

Jumping Jumpsuits!

This is a short girls dream: To wear jumpsuits and it looking proper on without looking shorter. I have the long legs and just need a longer torso.

{Francis Scarf-Print Romper $198}

This just screams SUMMER! Again the polyester factor kills me since summer heat and polyester don't really mix very well. Not something I'd wear in 35 degree weather but maybe something for a night dinner date.

I'd wear this to a wedding or some type of formal event. I have mixed emotions about having a less weddings to attend, I love wedding attires but weddings cost so much!

I have no idea when I would wear this, it's not casual enough to wear daily or dressy enough to wear to events.

I believe this should be on sale in stores now. Surprisingly enough the pant proportion fits me perfectly but the top blouse is WAYY to long for me. {Sad Face} I really love this.

  {Runway Luna Jumpsuit $428}

The style is very 80's BUT its made from silk! Dressy and casual, all depends on how you accessorize it.

{Runway Leona Jumpsuit $498}

This is a style that not everyone can pull off. I love the pants but not crazy with the lace shoulders.

Pop Of Yellow - Spring's Here!

Been drawn to lots of yellow tones lately and yellow doesn't look good with my skin tone. It's not exactly a colour I'd invest a lot of money on but might buy an item or two just to update my wardrobe. A few cheap and inexpensive items I'm considering.

 {Rachel Rachel Roy - Asymmetric Flounce Dress $69 in Citrus}

 {Forever 21 - Love21 - Belted Contrast Placket Blouse $27.80}

 {H&M - Ankle Length Trousers $29.95}

 {Forever 21 - Love21 - Colourblocked Shift Dress $33.80}

{Forever 21 - Love21 - Fit & Flare Dotted Dress $35.80}

 {Banana Republic - Daisy Sunshine Necklace $85}

 {Zara - Dress With Cape Sleeve $79.90}

 {Zara - Draped Viscose Blouse $59.90}

BCBG Kick Start To Spring - Summer

For those who know me are aware that I am obsessed with BCBG and it's a rather unhealthy obsessing for my husbands bank account. I only wish that BCBG would use better fabrics to justify the cost of their garments, of course the better fabrics are used on their Runway line $$$$. I hope that one day "Polyester" will no longer exist but until then here is my shopping wish list:

 {Left: Elicia Print-Block Top $138 // Right: Cyprien V-Neck Color-Block Top $178}

Not exactly what I'd wear to work but I'm sure I can work it somehow

I absolutely love my BCBG bandage skirts so I'm hoping this skirt will give me the same look but more flirty.

I like how the front already has the tucked in look, great for nights at the buffet.

 {Left: Maggie Silk Blouse $248 // Right: Guy Tuxedo Jacket $248}

For days when I feel monochromatic, which is almost most days.

A few years ago BCBG came out with this dress in a deep purple. I love the style but didn't like how the deep purple wasn't versatile enough but with this pattern is, it can be formal or casual.

 {Left: Agnes Long Skirt Dress $338 // Right: Runway Britte Dress $398}

Both these dresses seem a bit long for my 5'1 body but I'd still wear it!

 {Left: Runway Miri Strapless Dress $428 // Right: Runway Odette Long-Sleeve Dress $468}

Let's forget that it's from the runway collection and focus on how pretty these dresses are. Sure it's over $400 for a dress you could probably only wear once due to it's unique style but who cares it's pretty!

Spring Forward

I am not afraid of print, textures, colours, heck I'll wear anything! I always joke with my husband that I can't wait to get old and dress like an old lady. To get me closer to the old lady look I need the follow pieces below.....

All from Club Monaco:

 {Left: Baker Blazer $239 // Right: Daniella Faux-Leather Shorts $129.50}

I love a statement blazer with a plain bottom, I would most likely wear these both together... Maybe with something metallic inside and of course some type of huge gold statement necklace. I love the look of leather shorts and I'm a tad picky about wearing faux leather but I'll wear whatever fits better.

 {Left: Sonica Botanical Skinny Pant $149.50 // Right: Tavie Skirt $129.50}

Pattern bottoms are a great way to change up your boring wardrobe. My problem is keeping to just ONE pattern because I'd probably wear it all together. Pattern bottoms look great on people who are fit, not super skinny or bigger girls. With that being said, I have two months to hit the gym before I can rock this style!
 {Left: Augustine Lace Dress $269 // Right: Willa Dress $179.50}

I don't like plain dresses, I need something with a pattern or texture. I enjoy wearing items that can take me from office to dinner to drinks. Now I just need new shoes...........
